Colby Jackson joins Unisun Sports as the Assistant Director of Strategic Communications & Content after serving as the Assistant Director of Communications for the Western Athletic Conference for two years. 

While at the WAC, Jackson served as the conference’s primary contact for women’s basketball, softball, volleyball, women’s soccer, women’s tennis, indoor and outdoor track and field, and men’s and women’s golf. Jackson also managed the WAC’s social media accounts by strategizing the content published on all platforms, creating graphic materials, and photographing the conference championships. Jackson was promoted to Assistant Director of Communications following the 2023-24 academic year where he served as the Communications Intern for the conference. 

The Arlington, Texas native graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in Sports Business from Stephen F. Austin in 2023. During his time at Nacogdoches, Jackson served as a Student Assistant for Strategic Communications for three years where he assisted the communications team with a variety of duties such as stat keeping, writing pregame and postgame releases, constructing game notes, setting up gameday operations, as well as providing play-by-play commentary on ESPN+ for the Lumberjacks’ softball team.
